Went on a day trip yesterday to a beautiful homestay (Stopover@Muziris) in the ancient port city of Muziris; an hours drive from Kochi. Had lunch rested, and came back!

Note the historical monuments around: a. The Siva Temple b. The Cheraman Jama Masjid, one of the first mosques in the world outside Middle East c. The Bhagavathi Temple d. The Kottapuram Fort e. The Dutch Palace (yeah they were there too!) f. The Jewish Synagogue, one of the first Synagogues in the world outside the Middle East g. The very pretty Kottakavu Church; Christianity came here much before it went to the west.
